Two Maoists on Monday surrendered to security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Shankar Madkam and Bheema Kunjam turned themselves in, citing disappointment with the Maoist ideology, Bijapur Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Vaishnav said. They were active in the Bhairamgarh Area Committee of the outlawed Maoist group. They will be rehabilitated as per the government’s surrender policy, the officer said.
