Two Maoists on Wednesday surrendered to security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
Kawasi Bheema and Dirdo Ganga turned themselves in, citing disappointment with the Maoist ideology, Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma told The Pioneer.
Kawasi was a Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Majdoor Sangh (DAKMS) member whereas Dirdo was a militia member in the outlawed Maoist outfit.
They will be rehabilitated as per the state government’s surrender policy, the officer said.
