Udbhav Utsav to be organised from October 25 to 29

The prestigious international  Dance and Music Festival “Udhbav Utsav” will be organized from October 25 to 29 in the premises of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya. In this joint event of Udbhav, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya and Greenwood Public School,  dance and music artists from different states of the country along with  international artists will give the message of global unity by presenting their respective cultures on the soil of Gwalior.

This was expressed by President  of Udhbav, Dr. Keshav Pandey and Principal of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Nishi Mishra during a press conference held here today. They said that  this year Russia, Bulgaria and Macedonia will participate in this probably  the biggest and most famous event of the country. They added that consent letters have also been received from parties in countries like Estonia, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan etc. Indian performers will be from Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. They also said that artists in large numbers from Madhya Pradesh will also take part in this international event.

Secretary Udhbav, Deepak Tomar said that the program will begin on the 25th of October  with a grand carnival, in which all the Indian and foreign groups will go in a procession  from Jal Vihar Italian Garden and reach Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya via Baijatal. “Udhbav Utsav 2023” will be inaugurated in a grand ceremony. It should be noted that in the past years, in the Udhbav Utsav, teams from countries like France, Italy, Spain, China, Iran, Israel, Austria, Taiwan, Egypt, Greece, Slovakia have given spectacular presentations of their respective cultures in Gwalior.

Chairperson of Greenwood School, Kiran Bhadauria said that together we are working towards making Gwalior a big center of cultural exchange. While on one hand, teams from different countries come to Udhbav Utsav and present their respective cultures and on the other hand, the selected teams of national artists get the opportunity to represent India in international cultural festivals held abroad.

She added that group dance, solo dance and band (orchestra) competitions will be organized in Udhbav Utsav. Group dance competitions will be held in classical, semi-classical and folk dance categories and solo dance competitions will be held in classical and semi-classical categories. In band (orchestra), groups will be able to present in any discipline.

On the concluding occasion of Udhbav Utsav, there will be a competition for the International Championship between the selected Indian teams and foreign teams in the Gala Night on 29th October in which the winner will be selected by an International Jury.

Tomar said that My FM will be the radio partner and Loknad will be the digital partner in Udhbav Utsav.

In today's press conference, Dr. Keshav Pandey, Nishi Mishra, Kiran Bhadauria, Shishir Srivastava (Deputy Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Gwalior), Deepak Tomar, Surendrapal Singh Kushwaha, Alok Dwivedi, Praveen Sharma, Manoj Aggarwal, Rajendra Mudgal, Dr. Aditya Bhadauria were present.
