A one day program titled “Vendor Synergy Conclave on Elevators” was organized by the CTS Mechanical Technical Bureau Department of BSL at the Human Resource Development Department. In the program, Chief Guest Executive Director (Works) Birendra Kumar Tiwari and Special Guest Executive Director (Personnel and Administration) Rajan Prasad along with Chief General Managers of various departments including Heads of Departments and representatives of major lift manufacturers/suppliers were present.

At present BSL has 41 working lifts. Availability and reliability of lifts is of utmost importance in the context of increasing plant production and changing capital repair scenarios. The conference was organized for better collaboration and coordination between lift vendors and Bokaro Steel Plant, to discuss with the vendors and suppliers on improving the service of existing lifts and to develop new technologies to enhance safety and reliability in lifts along with emphasis  on increasing security features.

Chief General Manager (Mechanical) VK Singh welcomed all the people present in the program and General Manager of Central Technical Services (CTS) MK Lal highlighted the main constraints related to lifts in Bokaro Steel Plant.  The program was coordinated by Deputy General Manager (CTS) Jayant Sarkar . Notably S.S. Garg, Deputy General Manager (CTS) and G. Sneha Raju, Manager (CTS) of Central Technical Services Department played an important role in organizing the program.
