Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to the populace of over seven million in North Delhi, is participating in a National Lok Adalat in association with Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) on Saturday, to settle cases of electricity theft and disconnected connections. The Adalat will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PLA-I, Sub Station Building 2/13, Sector - 13, Rohini, Delhi - 110085, near Venkateshwar Global School.
“Those who want to take part in the proceedings of National Lok Adalat, need to register at helpline 19124 or by writing to eac.care@tatapower-ddl.com. Registered litigants should carry their Photo ID, along with a copy of theft bill or disconnected connection,” Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), said in a statement.
“This is a good opportunity for consumers seeking amicable on-the-spot settlement of power theft cases and disconnected connections.
In case of a default, the company will be obliged to initiate criminal/ civil proceedings against the consumers under the relevant provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and DERC Regulations. Consumers can pay their bills through various means, such as Cheque, Demand Draft (DD), Debit Card, Credit Card and various online modes, or Cash.
