Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is keeping a constant watch on relief and rescue operations and other arrangements in the flood-affected districts of the state. CM Yadav today discussed with Tikamgarh District Collector Awadhesh Sharma on video calling from Datana airstrip in Ujjain and inquired about the rescue work of 2 affected people trapped in the flood disaster. Collector Tikamgarh Sharma informed CM Yadav that Ram Milan Yadav and Ramcharan Raikwar were stranded on the island of Dhasan river in Mahobiya Ghat village of Chanderikhas Gram Panchayat of Baldevgarh block of Tikamgarh district for 24 hours. Attempts were first made to lift them by helicopter to save both of them. After this, both the villagers were successfully rescued by the NDRF team.
Yadav talked to Ram Milan Yadav and Ramcharan Raikwar who were rescued safely and enquired about their well-being. Both of them expressed their gratitude to CM Dr. Yadav for saving their lives.
CM Yadav congratulated the NDRF jawans for the successful rescue operation and directed SP Tikamgarh to honour these jawans for their active role in flood relief work. He also talked to the villagers and advised them to remain constantly alert and cautious in case of heavy rainfall.
