AAP has released a list of its star campaigners on Sunday for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections which also features the name of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently lodged in Tihar jail in the alleged excise policy linked excise policy scam.

Ahead of two assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, the AAP has put the name of the incarcerated party supremo in the list of 40 star campaigners to the Election Commission of India.

Other names include former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was recently granted bail in the case by Supreme Court, AAP chief’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP Delhi Ministers Atishi, Sanjay Singh, Kailash Gahlot and Gopal Rai, Rajya Sabha AAP MP Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak among others.

The list of star campaigners has come hours after Delhi Minister and AAP’s election in-charge Imran Hussain told media persons in Srinagar that the party will contest the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir with strength.

The party released its first list of seven candidates for the upcoming assembly elections. AAP has fielded Fayaz Ahmed Sofi from Pulwama, Muddasir Hassan from Rajpora, Sheikh Fida Hussain from Devsar, Mohsin Shafkat Mir from Dooru, Mehraj Din Malik from Doda and Yasir Shafi Matto from Doda West.
