Angered with adverse comments, man kills his 3-yr-old niece

In a gruesome incident, a 30-year-old man killed his niece by slitting her throat in Jehangirabad locality on Sunday night, accused killed her after family members taunted him of being unemployed and urged him to do work.

After the family members asked him to work, the accused said he will show therm how to do the work. Saying this, he brought a knife from the room and slit the girl's throat.

Moin lives near Jehangirabad market. Rumeja was his daughter. The mother had gone to her maternal home near her in-laws' house on Sunday with her. The girl's grandmother had stopped them for dinner at night. At around 11 pm, the girl went to her maternal uncle Faraz while playing.

At night, niece Rumeja was insisting on getting something from her maternal uncle (Faraz) while the family members were explaining to Faraz about living and working properly.

Angered by this, Faraz said that he will show you how to do the work right now. He brought a knife from inside and before anyone could understand anything, he slit the girl's throat.

During this, the girl's mother was also present. By the time the family rescued the girl from the clutches of the accused, the girl lost blood.

The girl was taken to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Meanwhile, the family locked the accused in the house. The police also arrived after getting the information. The family handed him over to the police. He has committed criminal incidents earlier too. The police are investigating the records.

The girl's father Moin told that 25 days ago he had gone to the farm house in Parwalia area with the family. There, the accused Faraaz tried to drown the elder son Yahya Usmani in the swimming pool. Seeing this, he slapped Faraaz in anger. Since then he has had a grudge.

On Saturday, wife Nuris went to her maternal home with daughter Rumeza where Nuris and her mother asked the two to stay for dinner. On Sunday, Faraz returned home at night. Nuris advised him to do a job. He did not like this. After some time, he slit his daughter's throat with a knife.

The wounds were so deep that she died on the spot. However, by the time his wife took him to the hospital, it was too late. The accused had stabbed the girl directly in the throat.

After the incident, the family was calling the accused Faraz a psychopath, but till now the police investigation has not found any evidence of him being a psychopath. The police have asked for medical prescriptions.

The accused is a B.Sc graduate. He has also done a PGDCA diploma. After this, he worked in a private telecom company for a long time. He worked from home till one and a half years ago. Victim's father alleged that to save the accused, the family is trying to declare him mentally unstable.
