Wednesday, 11 September 2024 | PNS | Lohardaga

A public grievance redressal program was organized by the police department on Tuesday at Nagar Bhawan, Lohardaga. The program was inaugurated by Anup Birthare, DIG of South Chhotanagpur Division, Ranchi, by lighting the lamp. On the occasion, the DIG said that seeing maximum participation of the common people in the program shows better coordination between the common public and the police. Public grievance redressal program is being organized today in all the districts by the police department. The objective of which is to receive complaints from the general public and continuously monitor them, tag the complaints, review every complaint, provide information among the people about numbers like dial 112 and 1930 etc.

By dialing 112, you can register any kind of problem without going to the police station. Complaints related to cyber crime can be made on dial 1930. Under the Public Grievance Redressal Programme, common people can also register their complaints on 9470546635. This program has been started by the government for the common people. Which is organized every month. Programs are also being organized at the block and sub-division level.

The DIG said that action will be taken against those station in-charges who do not register FIRs in their police stations. Whenever someone brings a complaint, an FIR related to it must be registered. Even if it is not a case of your police station, register a zero FIR and send the FIR to the concerned police station, but that person should not be returned.

The DIG said that a proposal for a cyber crime police station in Lohardaga district will be sent to the Home Department. Many proposals have been received from Lohardaga district for a cyber police station. The PCR vans which are lying broken in the district will be repaired. If necessary, new vehicles will be purchased and patrolling will be increased. Said that complaints of women should be registered in all the police stations and not only in the women's police station. Similarly, ST/SC cases should also be registered in all police stations. Naxalism and extremism have reduced in Lohardaga district with everyone's cooperation. At one time this problem was very severe in Lohardaga district. Many people sacrificed their lives to reduce its impact. Now that this problem has reduced, police work has moved more towards social policing.
