Blood donation camp organised at Jharkhand High Court

Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Justice MS Ramachandra Rao inaugurated a blood donation camp on the Jharkhand High Court premises and encouraged all the blood donors to donate blood and wished them well. The blood donation camp was jointly organized by Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, High Court Legal Services Committee, High Court Co-operative Society, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, Voluntary Blood Donor Association. Justice Rangon Mukhopadhyay was the main motivator in this event and his efforts for blood donation camp have always been commendable.

All the Judges of the High Court, Registrar General Manoj Prasad and other Registrars Ritu Kumar, President, Advocate Association, Anil Kumar, A.S.G.I. were present in the inaugural ceremony. Anoop Birthare DIG, Ranchi, Pramat Kumar Civil Surgeon, Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, Ranju Sinha Medical Officer, Blood Bank, Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, Ravi Shankar Mishra, Secretary of High Court Legal Services Committee, Ajay Prakash Chandra, Chairman of High Court Co-operative Society, Rahul Gupta, President and Secretary of Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, Atul Gera, Secretary of Voluntary Blood Donor Association, Arup Chakraborty, Julie Nita Soke, Assistant Director, J.S.A.C.S. were present.

Along with the advocates of the High Court, the officers and employees of the High Court, people of the police department participated enthusiastically in this event and women advocates and women employees also made a commendable contribution.

Since the year 2015, such an event has been organized once or twice every year in the High Court premises under the aegis of the High Court Employees Co-operative Society. Keeping in mind the increasing number of thalassemia patients, this year also 140 units of blood were collected.
