CCL CMD, Directors, officials plant saplings 

Under the "Smriti Taru Initiative" of Vigilance Awareness Campaign, tree plantation was done on Wednesday at CCL Ke Lal & CCL Ke Ladli Study Center, Gandhinagar. On the special occasion, CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Technical/Operations) Harish Duhan and Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar planted fruit trees in the study center campus. On this occasion, cleaning staff, security personnel working in the study center and students of CCL Ke Lal & CCL Ke Ladli also planted trees and gave the message of environmental protection. After the tree plantation drive, Singh addressed the students and encouraged them to work hard without worrying too much about the results. He shared many real-life examples of people who achieved success after experiencing failure. During this time, the students shared their experiences and feedback with the dignitaries about the facilities provided in the study and hostel.

New Additional GM of SER 

Soumitra Majumdar has taken over the charge of Additional General  Manager, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata on Tuesday. Prior to this Majumdar was the Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Eastern Railway. Majumdar is an officer of Indian Railways Traffic service, 1989 Exam Batch. He has worked in various posts and in different capacities i.e. Chief Public Relations Officer, Eastern Railway & South Eastern Railway, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager & Chief Traffic Planning Manager, South Eastern Railway. He has vast knowledge and working experience in railway operations and commercial issues as well as Public Relations and Media Management of Railways. He has keen interest in sports, music, travel and social welfare activities.
