12K complaints received on C-Vigil App related to MCC violation: CEO
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal on Sunday said that a total of 12,011 complaints related to the violation of the Model Code of Conduct have been received on C-Vigil App in the State from August 16 to September 22, out of which 11,122 have been found valid. Such complaints are resolved within 100 minutes on the C-Vigil app. This app allows users to upload audio, video, and photos as evidence. Providing district-wise details, he stated that 856 complaints were received from Ambala district, 75 from Bhiwani, 2,873 from Faridabad, 64 from Fatehabad, 1,585 from Gurugram, 220 from Hisar, 953 from Jhajjar, 76 from Jind, 194 from Kaithal, 48 from Karnal, 289 from Kurukshetra, 24 from Mahendragarh, 13 from Mewat, 206 from Palwal, 326 from Panchkula, 21 from Panipat, 186 from Rewari, 1,015 from Rohtak, 2,093 from Sirsa, 247 from Sonipat, and 647 from Yamunanagar. Out of the total complaints, 11,122 were found valid by the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers, and appropriate actions were taken according as per the rules.
Many BJP leaders join Cong in Panchkula
Panchkula: Many BJP leaders on Sunday joined the Congress party in a programme organized by Uttarakhand Samaj at Sector 12 in Panchkula. Congress candidate Chandra Mohan and other Congress leaders were present on the occasion. Those who joined the Congress party include former BJP councillor Ramesh Barathwal and other leaders Vinod Kumar Bansal, Bhupesh Bansal, Councillor Sunit Singhla and hundreds of other leaders.
Cong wants to divide people by doing caste politics: Yogi Adityanath
Jind: Lashing out at the Congress, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the grand old party’s structure has become as “dilapidated” as the Babri in Ayodhya. Reiterating his call for unity during an election rally at Narwana in Jind, Adityanath said: “And I have come to make this appeal to you. They want to divide you by doing caste politics. I told you, didn’t I say, ‘batoge to katoge, ek rahoge toh nek rahoge, koi mai ka laal aapka baal banka nahi kar payega’.”
The BJP leader said: “Despite the Congress ruling the country for a long time, they did not name even one airport after Maharishi Valmiki, Sant Ravidas or after B R Ambedkar. They used to name them after their family.”
