Two Chhattisgarh silk farmers received best achievement awards on the 75th Foundation Day of the Central Silk Board in Bengaluru, an official communiqué said on Monday.
Santosh Kumar Devangan of Janjgir-Champa and Ganesh Ram Sidar of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh were honoured for their achievements in Tussar thread making and Tussar worm rearing respectively.
Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh presented the awards.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has congratulated them and the Silk Department.
