M.G.M. Higher Secondary School, Sector 4, recently hosted a career counseling session for the students of Classes 11 and 12. The session, aimed at commerce stream students, saw the participation of guest speakers Tapas Kumar Mazumdar and Ritu Ritulia from the ICSI Dhanbad Chapter.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from the school principal, Father Dr. Joshi Varghese, who greeted the guests and the students. During the session, the speakers discussed career paths related to becoming a Company Secretary (CS), detailing the duration of the course, its structure, and the career opportunities available in Jharkhand and across India after completing the course.
Mazumdar provided insights into the admission process, course scoring system, and placement opportunities, while Ms. Ritulia highlighted the importance of the Company Secretary course and its relevance across various sectors.
The interactive session saw nearly 200 students participate, raising numerous questions about the CS course and its future prospects. In attendance were Vice Principal Rakhi Banerjee, Academic Director George Joseph, and the faculty of the commerce department.
