Aclass 9 student was stabbed to death at Arjun Nagar after a dispute with another youth of the area, marks of a sharp weapon edge were found on the chest of deceased.
The deceased identified as Brajkant Pandey (16) had a dispute with Sonu Batham. Afterwhich Sonu and his father reported the police detained Brajkant into custody. The police called the minor's family to the police station when the family did not come, he was handed over to the accused and later boy's body was found near the house at night.
The short PM report has revealed that the death was caused by a sharp weapon. The police have also taken the accused into custody.
The incident took place on Thursday night in Arjun Nagar Basti of TT Nagar area.
DCP Priyanka Shukla said, 'There was a dispute between Brajkant (16) and accused Sonu Batham (18) over dominance in the area. Both live in lane number one of Arjun Nagar Basti. A fight broke out between them on Thursday afternoon. Brajkant had stoned Sonu. The people of the locality intervened and pacified the matter.
Later Sonu along with his father reached TT Nagar police station with a complaint. Brajkant also followed them. Here also there was an argument between the two. The police took Brajkant into custody and called his father. He was also asked to come to the police station. Brajkant's father expressed his inability to come.
He even said that if you want, send the son to jail. Other relatives were also called, they also refused to come. Later Brajkant was handed over to Bhura, Sonu and his father who lived in the area. Both the parties were also counselled.
Sonu made up his mind to teach Brajkant a lesson. At around 10.30 pm, Brajkant was standing near the house. During this time Sonu attacked him with a sharp weapon. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot.
After the incident, people from both sides came face to face. The matter was pacified by counselling. The injured was taken to the hospital in a bloody condition, where doctors declared him dead. A case of stubbornness is also registered against Brajkant. At the same time, accused Sonu also has four to five cases.
Brajkant's father Brajlochan said that Brajkant was studying in class 9 in a private school. I am a class 4 employee in the forest department.
