National Khadi and Saras Mahotsav 2024-25 is being organized under the joint aegis of Jharkhand State Khadi and Village Industries Board, Department of Industries and Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society Rural Development Department.
This event is being organized from 20 December to 6 January at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. Suman Pathak from the Department of Industries and Meenakshi Prakash from the Rural Development Department held a press conference on Thursday. They said that the festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and concluded by the Governor.
Khadi and Saras Mahotsav will be open from 10 am to 8 pm. Stalls have been set up from various states across the country.
This time the Khadi Mahotsav has been organized on the theme of Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati Ashram. In which various types of stalls have been made. Live exhibition and Sabarmati Ashram will be the center of attraction in the festival. Khadi Sanstha, PMEGP, Saras, Food Stall, Government Stalls have been set up in it. More than 500 stalls have been set up in it.
Various competitions will be organized for different classes and children every day in the festival. Colourful cultural programs will also be organized by the Art and Culture Department every day in the festival. Various types of swings for children will be the main center of attraction.
The entry fee for the fair has been kept at Rs 10. Entry to the festival premises will be free during the inaugural ceremony. Parking arrangements have been made by the Municipal Corporation for vehicles. Help desk and CCTV have been installed for any kind of assistance. E-rickshaws have been arranged for the elderly.
