In the wake of the Assembly election results, Congress candidate Dr. Ajoy Kumar issued a statement on Saturday, expressing his acceptance of the people’s decision. Dr. Kumar emphasized that in a democracy, the will of the people is paramount. “The decision of the people of Jamshedpur East is accepted with humility. In democracy, the people are the true masters, and their choice, made with consideration for their well-being, is respected,” he said.

Offering congratulations to BJP candidate Purnima Das on her victory, Dr. Kumar pledged to analyze the outcome in detail. “A thorough review will be conducted to identify shortcomings, and future steps will be planned accordingly,” he stated.

Despite the loss, Dr. Kumar reaffirmed his dedication to the people of Jamshedpur. “I will continue to serve the people of this city to the best of my abilities,” he assured. Highlighting the broader context of the elections, he expressed satisfaction with the public’s trust in the India Alliance government and Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s leadership. “The people have given the Hemant government another opportunity to continue its work. I am confident that the government will prioritize the welfare of common citizens, women, and youth while propelling the state towards development,” Dr. Kumar added.

Dr. Kumar stressed his commitment to ensuring that public welfare schemes benefit the most marginalized sections of society. “Every effort will be made to ensure that even the last person in the society can access the benefits of government initiatives,” he stated, highlighting his focus on inclusive development.

Concluding his statement, Dr. Kumar expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Jamshedpur, his supporters, and the media. “I extend my sincere thanks to all the residents of Jamshedpur, my dedicated workers, media colleagues, and everyone who supported me directly or indirectly during this election,” he said.
