The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Wednesday raided the premises of the owners of Jayshree Gayatri Foods Private Limited (Cheese Factory) in connection of preparing fake certificates for dairy products to be supplied ain foreign countries.
More than 25 officers are conducting raids at more than 12 locations in Bhopal and Sehore. The team arrived at around 11 am.
These include houses, offices at Shahpura and 10 number stop and a factory in Sehore. Important documents and files have been seized from here. The owners of the company are being questioned.
According to the information, the director of the factory is Kishan Modi. An FIR was lodged with the EOW on July 24 against him and other factory officials Parul Modi and Rajendra Modi. They are accused of preparing fake certificates for dairy products to be supplied abroad. These raids are being conducted at more than a dozen locations.
The EOW team also reached the factory in Sehore at around 11 am on Wednesday. The administration had sealed the factory
Jayshree Gayatri Foods Private Limited (Cheese Factory) located at Pipaliya Mira in Sehore was closed by the administration on July 16. The district administration took this action on the orders of Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board. On the instructions of Collector Praveen Singh, the electricity company had cut off the power connection, due to which production had stopped. Now the factory will not be operational until the industry makes complete arrangements for water pollution control.
This is the second time strict action has been taken by the district administration on Jayshree Gayatri Foods Company. Earlier, the Pollution Control Board had also imposed a fine of Rs 1.2 crore 20.
