Thursday, 28 November 2024 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

Department of Neurology, AIIMS Bhopal observed National Epilepsy Day. In this program, AIIMS Bhopal ED Prof. Singh said that it is very important to recognize the signs that occur before an epilepsy attack. If someone feels strange, senses some unusual smell or taste, feels tingling or electric shock in any part of the body, feels strange confusion, feels weakness, has weak memory or has headache, if such symptoms are there then one should get tested immediately.

Prof Singh praised the Department of Neurology for their commendable efforts in organizing the event. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in dispelling myths and stigmas surrounding epilepsy and urged everyone to take these lessons forward and be better equipped to assist those in need.

The event featured two impactful skit performances designed to educate patients and the public about epilepsy, its symptoms, and the importance of timely treatment. In addition, a poster-making competition was held to encourage creativity in spreading awareness about epilepsy.
