Four of family attacked by doctor, others

A doctor along with his brother and staff attacked a family, they attacked a young man with a shovel over a minor dispute. They also beat up the youth’s mother-in-law, wife and brother who came to intervene.

The woman kept screaming and the attackers kept beating them.

The incident took place on September 3 in a street near Shahjahanabad police station.

On Monday, the victim's family filed a written complaint in the Police Commissioner's office demanding that a case be registered against the accused under serious sections and they be arrested. A video of the incident has also surfaced.

Syed Umar Ali lives in Koyla Wali Gali Shahjahanabad and does a private job. In his complaint he claimed that there is Goodwill Hospital in the neighbourhood of his house. Construction work is going on in it. The balcony of this hospital is being extended illegally.

This was covering his house, and when he protested against it, the hospital doctor Akram Khan misbehaved and started beating him and the victim somehow managed to escape and reached outside the house, then the accused followed there and started beating them also.

Spotting the attack of the accused, victim's mother-in-law Reshma, wife Ruhi and brother came during which Akram, his brother Afaq, Sabir and two other people from the hospital staff attacked with shovel and sticks.

In this attack, Reshma got injured and during treatment got seven stitches on her head . Brother's sustained injury in his head while wife also got injured and victim got severe injuries.

It is clearly visible in the video that the doctor and his companions are attacking the head with a shovel and sticks. In the attack, injured Omar's brother remained laid on the road for a long time. Omar also fainted after being hit by a shovel on the head. After the accused fled, the local residents took the injured to the hospital.

In the case, police station in-charge UPS Chauhan said that there have been disputes between the two parties in the past as well. A case has been registered on the basis of the medical report after the incident on September 3. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
