On the occasion of World Tribal Day, a special programme was organised by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) in Hundur Panchayat. This programme was organised under the leadership of State Head of IOB, Jharkhand, Sarvesh Kumar.
On this occasion, a programme of distribution of clothes and plantation of trees was organised by Kumar. During the programme, he informed about various Government schemes for the economic and cultural prosperity of the tribal community and told that they can avail the benefits of this scheme through individual or self-help group from IOB.
The State Head informed that IOB is always with you in your cultural and economic progress. Along with this, he encouraged the participation of tribals and stressed on the importance of environmental protection.
Hundur Panchayat Deputy Chief Mahesh Mahato and Panchayat Samiti Member Geeta Devi were present in this programme. People of the local community participated enthusiastically and appreciated this initiative. The message of protecting the environment was given through tree plantation and help was provided to the needy through distribution of clothes.
Sanoj Kumar, who has won various gold medals for our country at the international level, was also present on the occasion.
