Lt Gen Ashok Jindal (Retd) took over as Executive Director and CEO of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Raipur on Monday. Jindal graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune. He got his MD in community medicine and diploma in industrial health from AFMC Pune as well. He has a PhD from the Jawahar National University. He is the first physician to be awarded the ‘Yudh Seva Medal’ from the president for distinguished medical service management. He has also provided services under the UN in Cambodia.
