Marandi questions Soren on the claim of Rs 1.36 lakh crores

Friday, 20 December 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

State BJP president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today targeted the Hemant government. While asking questions to the Chief Minister, Marandi said that the people of the state have the right to know the truth related to the arrears.

He said that the public has the right to know the truth on Jharkhand's Rs 1.36 lakh crore coal royalty claim. He asked the Chief Minister that the government should tell which years this arrears belong to and which schemes/projects?

The second question is what is the basis of the amount of Rs1.36 lakh crores? And the third question is how much amount was recovered during the UPA regime and when Shibu Soren was the Coal Minister?

Marandi said why there is no transparency in this matter? He said that given Jharkhand's history of corruption, the public wants to know everything. Put the correct documents and facts in front with transparency and then talk.

He said that BJP stands for every right of Jharkhand and Jharkhandis, wherever needed they will stand with the government. But false figures and fake claims will not be tolerated. If you follow the truth then we are always ready to cooperate.

He said that by raising the fear of pending dues, is the state government deliberately preparing a ground for blaming the government for failure to pay the amount of Maina Samman Yojana?

He said that leaving false politics, the priority of the state government should be to focus on the real issues of Jharkhand.
