The Uttar Pradesh government, in a reshuffle of IAS officers on Monday, posted Monika Garg as Agricultural Production Commissioner.
She will also retain the charge of the Minorities Welfare department.
Monica Garg has succeeded Manoj Kumar Singh, who was elevated as chief secretary on July 1.
Following the deputation of Devesh Chaturvedi to the Centre as Secretary, Agriculture, Ravindra Kumar has been posted as Principal Secretary, Agriculture.
Ravindra Nayak has been given the charge of Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Livestock Department. He will retain the charge of Principal Secretary, Secretariat Administration.
M Devaraj has been appointed as the new Additional Chief Secretary, Appointment Department. He will retain the charge of the Technical Education department.
Veena Kumari Meena will look after the Excise, Sugarcane and AYUSH departments. Leena Johri has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Child Development Nutrition and Women Welfare.
