Multiple trains cancelled and diverted due to Adra Division works

 In light of ongoing developmental works in the Adra Division, several trains will experience changes in their schedules, including cancellations, short terminations, short originations, and diversions. Passengers are advised to take note of the following updates for smooth travel planning during this period.

 

Train Cancellations:  The 08680/08679 Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU Special, scheduled for journeys on 10th, 13th, and 15th September 2024, will remain cancelled. Passengers intending to travel on these dates are requested to make alternative arrangements.

 

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:   Several trains will undergo short termination or short origination at Adra station due to the developmental works. These include:   03594/03593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Special: Services on 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, and 15th September 2024 will be terminated at and shortly originated from Adra.

 

 18035/18036 KharagpurHatiaKharagpur Express: Journeys scheduled for 12th and 14th September 2024 will also be short terminated at and short originated from Adra. 08174/08652 TatanagarAsansolBarabhum MEMU Special: This train, commencing its journey on 12th September 2024, will follow the same pattern of short termination and origination at Adra. 12883/12884 SantragachiPuruliaHowrah Express: The journey scheduled for 14th September 2024 will face similar short termination and origination from Adra.

 

Train Diversion:  The 18601 TatanagarHatia Express, running from 9th to 15th September 2024, will operate on a diverted route via ChandilGunda BiharMuri. Passengers are urged to plan accordingly, as the route diversion may cause changes in travel time.

 

“ These changes have been implemented to facilitate important infrastructural development works in the Adra Division, which are aimed at improving the railway network's efficiency and service quality in the long run. Indian Railways regrets any inconvenience caused to passengers and advises them to check train schedules in advance to avoid any disruptions. For updated information, passengers can refer to the official website or contact the helpline numbers provided by Indian Railways,” said an official.
