Bokaro Steel City - The Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City celebrated the monsoon season with the vibrant "Barkha Bahar" event on August 3, 2024, at the Paul Harris Auditorium. The event featured enchanting cultural performances by club members themed around Sawan (monsoon).
The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the Ladies' Committee, followed by captivating Kajari performances led by President Rotarian Alka Gupta and her team. Highlights included a dance by Rotarian Alka Gupta and Club President Rotarian Mahesh Kumar Gupta, an Odissi dance by former president Rotarian Chandrima Ray, and enthusiastic couple dances by senior Rotarians.
The younger generation of Rotarians impressed with energetic performances, and Rotarian Hardeep's family delighted with a Bhangra dance. Rotarian Mannu Srivastava's skit added humor, making the hall echo with laughter.
Chief guests ONGC's CGM Balbir Singh and his wife Bindu Singh, along with ONGC's GM Dilip Kumar, praised the event and expressed gratitude. Members from Rotary Club Chas and Rotary Club of Midtown Couples also participated and enjoyed the event.
The event, expertly coordinated by former presidents Rotarian Sandhya and Sunita Jain, was a resounding success.
