Senior AAP leaders extended wishes to the Chief Minister designate Atishi even they expressed grief over the resignation of their party supremo Arvind Kejriwal
Kejriwal took to X and congratulated his successor in a tweet. “Best wishes to Atishi,” he said, while sharing former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s post.
In a post, Sisodia shared, “Prime Minister Modi hatched a very dirty political conspiracy and made false allegations against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders. Sent them to jail. Questioned their integrity. Tried to topple the government.”
Terming Kejriwal courageous over his resignation, the former Delhi Minister said, “Today, Atishi has been given the responsibility of the Chief Minister of Delhi till the elections. Today, she has two main tasks to share—first, the people of Delhi are deeply hurt by Arvind's resignation and PM Modi's conspiracy. Many people are crying and they want Arvind to become Chief Minister again. Atishi has to make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister of Delhi again along with two crore people of Delhi.”
He alleged that in the next few months, to trouble the people of Delhi, BJP will try its best to end the facilities given by Arvind Kejriwal. “It is Atishi’s responsibility to protect the people of Delhi from this terror of BJP. I have full faith that Atishi will fulfill these difficult responsibilities very well. My heartfelt best wishes are with Atishi,” Sisodia asserted.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP and National General Secretary (Organisation) Sandeep Pathak said that the party had to accept Kejriwal’s resignation with a heavy heart and it is Atishi’s responsibility to make him Chief Minister again.
“Atishi will work with the two crore people of Delhi to make Kejriwal the Chief Minister again. We are all extremely sad with his resignation, but all our workers will work with ten times more energy amongst the people and will work to win all 70 seats this time,” he said.
According to AAP leader Gopal Rai, Atishi has been entrusted with two key responsibilities. First, she must continue serving the people of Delhi, despite pressure from the BJP. The second one is if BJP aims to reverse the positive work done by Arvind Kejriwal’s government, she would safeguard AAP’s achievements while exposing BJP’s attempts to undermine them.
“This responsibility had to be given in difficult circumstances. We were fighting the conspiracies of the BJP. Therefore, the new Chief Minister has been given the responsibility to continue this struggle. A new government will be formed with the responsibility of protecting the work of Delhi from the conspiracies of BJP and its government,” asserted Rai.
