Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal organized street play to mark the International Ozone day on Friday to create awareness among the people towards the importance of Ozone Layer, ozone depleting substance and the harmful effects of Ozone Hole.
The street play on "Save Ozone Layer" wasperformed near Vallabh Bhawan by Artists of Peoples Theatre Cultural Society, Bhopal under the direction of Sindhu Dholpure.
During the street play, the audience were informed about the harmful effects of chemicals used in air conditioner, refrigerator, deo, snow/ foam spray, fire extinguisher and pesticides; role of ozone layer to prevent the earth fromharmful effects of ultraviolet rays. Cancer disease, withering of plants, skin disease and global warming are the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. By this performance, an appeal was made to avoid the use of the chemicals which depletes Ozone Layer. Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-C was the Coordinator of the programme.
