As part of the National Nutrition Month, women in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund took out an awareness rally on Monday to educate ruralites about the importance of nutrition and a balanced diet.
They belted out songs to give the message to women and children about the daily nutritional requirements.
The rally was organised on the concluding day of a statewide checkup drive of children under the age of six.
Authorities recorded the children's weight and height from September 12 to 23 in the Nutrition Tracker App to ascertain the status of malnutrition in the state. This year, priority is being given to pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls and malnourished children.
