Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Thursday campaigned in Bihar’s Kumhrar and Bikram constituencies, calling for an overwhelming mandate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to ensure India’s continued rise on the world stage.
Dr Yadav addressed large gatherings in Patna’s Kadamkuan and at Parvati School grounds in Bikram after accompanying NDA candidates Sanjay Gupta and Siddharth Saurav for their nomination filings. He said the political battle for Bihar had begun, urging voters to choose “a Government that acts, not one that only speaks.”
“In the present global scenario, India needs an NDA Government to maintain dignity and progress,” he said, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and asserting that Bihar’s development had accelerated under the NDA. Dr Yadav said over Rs 13 lakh crore had been invested in the state’s growth and described the transformation of Patna as “visible proof of honest governance.”
Recalling Bihar’s troubled past, Dr Yadav said the state once suffered under “jungle raj” and corruption during Congress rule. He accused the party of plunging the nation into chaos through licence and quota systems, and of concentrating power within a single family. “Congress destroyed Bihar and the country,” he said, adding that the NDA had restored order and opportunity.
Dr Yadav also accused the Congress of insulting the army, undermining democracy during the Emergency, and questioning the faith of millions by casting doubt on Lord Ram. “This is Ram and Krishna’s land — those who mock our beliefs insult the soul of India,” he declared.
Praising the RSS for its “value-based vision,” Dr Yadav criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “urban Naxal mindset.”
Concluding his address, he told voters their ballots would act as a “Sudarshan Chakra” ensuring NDA’s victory: “Press the button — let the wheel of triumph spin again.”
