Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 on Wednesday with a host of prominent personalities, including senior leaders from BJP and opposition parties, lauding his leadership to mark the birthday of its preeminent leader. While President Draupadi Murmu said PM Modi had “instilled a culture of achieving great goals”, Home Minister Amit Shah hailed him as a “symbol of sacrifice”. Showering her best wishes to PM Modi, President Droupadi Murmu said PM Modi had “instilled a culture of achieving great goals” in the country. She further said, “Today, the global community is also expressing its faith in your guidance.”
“By exemplifying the pinnacle of hard work through your extraordinary leadership, you have instilled a culture of achieving great goals in the country. Today, the global community is also expressing its faith in your guidance. I pray to God that you remain forever healthy and joyful, and with your unique leadership, lead the nation to new heights of progress,” President Murmu said in a tweet, as she wished PM Modi a happy birthday.
Vice President CP Radhakrishnan said India is making a mark on the global stage and moving steadily towards the goal of a developed nation under his visionary leadership. Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed him as a “symbol of sacrifice and dedication”. In the national capital, Shah inaugurated 17 welfare schemes of the Delhi government on the occasion of Modi’s 75th birthday. Modi is the third-longest serving Prime Minister of India after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi and second in terms of an uninterrupted tenure. Congress president and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge alongwith LoP Rahul Gandhi also wished PM Modi good health in their greetings. “Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji a happy birthday and good health,” Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet.
Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge wrote, “Best wishes to Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and long life.” BJP president JP Nadda said PM Modi has taken many transformative steps to build an “aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat” with the goal of progress of every section of society. Another Congress leader Shashi Tharoor wrote, “Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi a very happy birthday. May the year ahead be filled with good health, happiness, and continued success in the service of the nation.”
