Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on February 5, according to sources.
The grand spiritual event has already seen an influx of millions of devotees, and the Prime Minister’s visit is expected to draw further attention to the historic gathering.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela on January 27. During his visit, Shah is expected to take a holy dip at the Sangam, perform the Ganga Puja, and hold discussions with officials overseeing the event. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is also scheduled to visit the Mela on February 1.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath previously confirmed the participation of top dignitaries, including President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. “Their presence underscores the cultural and spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh Mela, which is a proud symbol of India’s heritage,†said the Chief Minister.
The administration is making elaborate preparations to ensure smooth logistics and security during the visits of these high-profile leaders. Special arrangements are being made to manage the expected surge in devotees and media attention during these dates.
With leaders like Modi, Shah, and Dhankhar attending, the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is poised to become a monumental event, blending spirituality, culture, and national pride.
