The 10th Knockout Cricket Tournament, organized by the Manifit Sports Club, commenced at the DVC Ground in Manifit. The event was inaugurated by social worker Shiv Shankar Singh, former independent candidate from Jamshedpur East and patron of the organization 'Koshish – Ek Muskaan Lane Ki.' Singh marked the beginning of the tournament by taking a symbolic strike with the bat.
Ratan Palsania, one of the organizers, informed that a total of 16 teams are participating in this tournament, with the final match scheduled for Sunday.
Addressing the audience as the chief guest, Shiv Shankar Singh remarked, "The excitement for cricket in Jamshedpur is at its peak. This week will be filled with thrilling moments for sports enthusiasts." He took the opportunity to motivate the youth to step out of virtual playgrounds and engage in outdoor sports for better physical and mental fitness.
Singh also congratulated the organizers, emphasizing that such tournaments not only promote competitive spirit but also contribute to the overall well-being of players. He highlighted the importance of physical activity, encouraging the youth to embrace the thrill of playing on real grounds.
