A three-year-old girl drowned in an underground water tank in Kolar locality on Sunday. On Sunday evening when the girl, while playing, reached near the tank and accidentally stood on its cover, causing her to fall inside.
At that time, other family members were inside the house engaged in conversation, and the child was left unattended.
After sometime, the family realized Anika was missing, they began searching for her. They couldn’t find her inside the house. During the search, they noticed that the cover of the underground water tank in the courtyard was open. Upon peering inside, they discovered the child's lifeless body.
