Bokaro, 4 July 2025 – In view of the upcoming Muharram observance, the district administration has put in place strict security arrangements to ensure the festival is celebrated peacefully and harmoniously. As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, flag marches were conducted on Friday evening in sensitive areas by BDOs, COs, and local police officers.

A total of 357 magistrates and police officers have been deployed across key locations, intersections, and crowded zones throughout the district. Additionally, 31 magistrates in Chas subdivision and 53 in Bermo subdivision have been kept on reserve to respond swiftly when needed.

To strengthen surveillance, CCTV cameras and drones have been deployed in sensitive areas. A 24x7 district control room has been activated to handle any emergencies, with 59 magistrates specially appointed to manage the response.

The administration is also keeping a close watch on social media. The deputy commissioner has warned that strict action will be taken against those spreading misinformation or provocative content online.

DC Ajay Nath Jha has appealed to residents to celebrate Muharram with peace, unity, and mutual respect. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately to the control room (06542-223705 / 223475 / 100 / 112) or inform nearby officials. The administration has assured prompt action on all such reports.
