A three-year-old boy named Raksham, who had traveled with his family from Bhopal to visit the Khatu Shyam Ji temple in Jaipur, was kidnapped under suspicious circumstances on June 6. The incident has prompted a major search operation by local police, with teams examining CCTV footage and investigating surrounding areas to track down the suspect.
Reports indicate that Raksham was accompanied by his mother and grandmother on their journey from Bhopal to Jaipur by train, after which they intended to visit Khatu Shyam Ji temple. Upon reaching Jaipur Railway Station, a young man approached the family and claimed that he was also headed to the temple. Gaining their trust, he joined them on the journey.
At the temple, the man offered to hold Raksham while the mother and grandmother went for darshan. However, upon their return, both the man and the child were missing. The incident occurred on Ekadashi, a day known for heavy crowds at the temple.
The family immediately began searching the area, but after unsuccessful attempts, they filed a formal complaint with the police on June 7. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect was seen taking the child to a shop where he bought him a fruity drink. He was later spotted near the police station but vanished soon after.
Sikar Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav has mobilized multiple police teams to investigate the case. CCTV footage from various points, including the temple premises and surrounding shops, is being analyzed. The footage of the suspected kidnapper has been shared with Jaipur Police for further identification and assistance in the search.
Raksham's father, Ajay Kumar Jatav, a mechanic residing in Pushpa Nagar, Bhopal, arrived at Khatu Shyam Ji temple on Sunday morning after receiving the distressing news. Raksham is his only son, and the family, which also includes three daughters, is devastated by the incident. The family has remained at the police station, awaiting updates on the investigation.
The police have appealed to the public for any information about the child or the suspect. Authorities have urged anyone who might have witnessed suspicious activity or has any leads to come forward immediately. As the search operation continues, the authorities remain on high alert in hopes of finding Raksham and bringing the suspect to justice.
