Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari conducted meetings with senior Congress leaders and workers from Maheshwar, Kasrawad, Khargone, Bhagwanpura, Bhikangaon, and Burhanpur constituencies in Khargone and Burhanpur districts. These meetings were part of the preparations for the "Jai Bapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Samvidhan" campaign. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar, former State Congress President Arun Yadav, former Minister Sachin Yadav, and Youth Congress President Mitendra Singh, along with other senior Congress leaders, were present at the events.
During the campaign's stop in Khargone, Patwari and senior Congress leaders discussed the upcoming historic program scheduled for January 27. The campaign, focused on the themes of struggle and the Constitution, has been receiving widespread public support. Patwari shared his journey, stating that he has been serving the people of Madhya Pradesh for over two decades in various capacities, from Block Congress President to State Congress President. He emphasized his dedication to strengthening the Congress organization and leading the party to victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Patwari announced that the "Jai Bapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Samvidhan" campaign would formally commence on January 27 from Mhow, the birthplace of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The event will witness the presence of prominent leaders, including AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, MP Priyanka Gandhi, and other senior leaders. More than two lakh Congress members and followers of Ambedkar are expected to participate.
Criticizing the BJP, Patwari alleged that the party is anti-reservation and works to divide society based on caste and religion. He accused the BJP of undermining the benefits of the Constitution for Dalits, tribals, backward classes, and minorities, favoring only their capitalist allies. Patwari also claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah mock Ambedkar in Parliament, which is unacceptable to Congress and Ambedkar's followers.
Senior leaders, including Umang Singhar and Sachin Yadav, criticized the BJP for its alleged anti-Ambedkar mentality and attempts to tamper with the Constitution. They highlighted that the people of India have already rejected the BJP’s divisive politics, as seen in the party's reduced seat count.
The meeting witnessed participation from MLAs Hiralal Alawa, Rajkumari Upadhyay, and a large number of Congress workers.
