BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi today paid tribute to the mortal remains of Manish Ranjan, martyred in the Pahalgam terror attack, at the airport and prayed for the peace of his soul. Manish Ranjan, a section officer with the IB posted in Hyderabad, was among the 26 people killed in the terror attack on Tuesday.
State General Secretary and MP Dr. Pradeep Verma, Subodh Singh Guddu, Varun Sahu and others were present on the occasion.
Marandi said that this incident is unexpected and heartbreaking in which people have been targeted on the basis of religion. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is determined to destroy the terrorists flourishing in such a mindset.
He said that the mood of the country is against such terror. And the Government of India is determined to crush it.
He said that there are people of such a mindset in Jharkhand too who consider Sharia above the Constitution. They talk of bloodshed after taking oath on the Constitution. He said that such people are getting the protection of the state government for vote banks in the name of secularism, whereas such people should be booked for treason and sent to jail.
Manish Ranjan was originally from Sasaram in Bihar. His father Mangalesh Mishra was the headmaster of Jhalda Hindi High School in West Bengal. He retired a few years ago. Since then the family has lived in Jhalda. Ranjan was working in the Intelligence Department in Hyderabad. He had also served in Ranchi IB.
Vineet Ranjan, brother of late Manish Ranjan, said that the news of Manish's death was received on Tuesday. Manish Ranjan had gone on a trip with his wife and two children. Manish Ranjan Mishra was married to Jaya, a resident of Prayagraj, in the year 2010. They have two children, a 12-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter.
