To mark the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bokaro district organized the Atal Virasat Sammelan at Deepanjali Palace, Chas. The event was led by district president Jaidev Rai, with Sanjay Tyagi as the coordinator and Vikky Rai delivering the vote of thanks.
Bhanu Pratap Shahi, former MLA of Bhawanathpur and BJP state vice president, was the chief guest. The program began with a floral tribute, lighting of lamps, and the singing of ‘Vande Mataram.’
Shahi highlighted Vajpayee’s key role in the creation of Jharkhand and recalled his close ties with Bokaro’s BJP workers. Several veteran leaders, including Dr. Prahlad Barnwal, Madhusudan Singh, and Vinay Singh, were honored for their contributions.
Many BJP leaders and workers attended the event, sharing their experiences and paying tribute to Vajpayee’s legacy.
