CM Saini flags off Ayodhya darshan bus

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday flagged off a bus to Ayodhya under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana’. Before the departure, he interacted with the pilgrims on board, and enquired about their well-being, and extended his best wishes for their journey. Saini said that the government is implementing various welfare schemes for all sections of society. The Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana is one such initiative, offering free pilgrimage trips to senior citizens above the age of 60 years. The scheme is for people having annual income up to Rs. 1.80 lakh or less. About 46 passengers from Ambala and Panchkula are included in this yatra. They will visit Ayodhya, followed by Hanuman Garhi and Sarayu River. So far, more than 800 people have benefitted from this scheme. People interested in availing the benefits of the scheme must register on the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana portal.

Sujanpur Holi Fair begins, Himachal CM leads procession

Shimla: The three-day long National-level Sujanpur Holi Fair of Hamirpur district commenced on Wednesday with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu performing the traditional Puja ceremony at the historic Murali-Manohar Temple in Sujanpur Tira. Thousands of people participated in the vibrant festivities, marking the beginning of the grand celebration. After paying obeisance at the temple, Sukhu prayed for the prosperity and happiness of the people of the State. Earlier, he also took part in the Pagri ceremony and led the Shobha Yatra (procession), accompanied by enthusiastic participants dancing from the historic Chaugan Maidan to the Murali-Manohar Temple. He also inaugurated various exhibitions showcasing the achievements of different government departments and HimIra products. He was accorded a warm welcome by the people on his arrival at Sujanpur.

Hry Police identifies 3.43 lakh fake bank accounts in 2024


Chandigarh: Haryana Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur on Wednesday said that about 3. 43 lakh fake bank accounts have been identified from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. The data has been sent to the banks concerned for investigation and legal action, he added. He further said, “We have cautioned all account holders not to share their personal bank account information with anyone. People should keep an eye on the amount credited or debited in their bank accounts.” Kapur said that as a result of the zero-tolerance policy against cybercriminals, the amount of money defrauded by cyber thugs in Haryana in February 2025 compared to February 2024 has decreased by more than half.
