DWA welcomes Basant with fervour
With the winter season ending soon, the members of the Doctors' Wives Association assembled at IMA Hall on Saturday to welcome Basant. All ladies clad in yellow set a perfect atmosphere for Basant Panchmi celebrations. Chairperson Vinita Sharan and Co- Chairperson cum Founder Jhooma Sarkar extended their warm wishes followed by the welcome address by the President Arti Singh .The programme began with Saraswati Vandana by Rinku Banerjee and a classical dance by Manisha Nayak. Aashna Sharan and Shweta Ranjan's Kathak recital won accolades by one and all. Housie and a few games were also enjoyed by the members. Secretary Anju Singh extended her gratitude to all, specially the organisers Rokhsana Bano, Shreela Choudhary, Debjani Sanyal, Swati Adukia, Rashmi Kumar, Rina Sah, Sunita Sinha, Sanchita Mukherjee, Dr Aradhna Senapati, Dr. Priyanka Shrivastav, Dr Sujata Singh, Keka Satpathy and Rakhi Singh.
Inter-Divisional Chess Tournament at RRD
DRM cum Chairman SERSA Ranchi Jasmeet Singh Bindra inaugurated the Inter-Divisional Chess Tournament at Railway Officers Club, Hatia on Saturday and after getting acquainted with all the players participating in the tournament, wished them good luck for the tournament. A total of 28 players from South Eastern Railway Headquarters and Ranchi, Chakradharpur, Adra and Kharagpur divisions are participating in this tournament. All the matches of the tournament will be played in six rounds and the final match will be played on Monday. On this occasion, ADRM Hemraj Meena, CMS Dr. Raju Tirkey, Sr DCM cum DSO Nishant Kumar, Sr DE (Coordination) Saket Kumar, other branch officers, General Secretary of SERSA Ranchi Omprakash Thakur and employees of the division were present.
