A seminar-cum-workshop on the latest provisions related to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Income Tax Return (ITR) was organized at the main auditorium of the Learning & Development Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). The program was held under the joint aegis of the Income Tax Department, TDS Ward – Bokaro, and BSL, with the objective of updating participants on recent changes in TDS and ITR regulations and guiding them to avoid common filing errors.
The event was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Executive Director (Finance & Accounts), Suresh Rangani; Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Bihar & Jharkhand), Jayant Mishra; Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, TDS Range-2, Ranchi, Ashish Kumar Dehriya; and Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Dhanbad, Shashi Ranjan. A large number of officers and employees from BSL participated in the session.
In his address, Executive Director (F&A) Suresh Rangani appreciated the initiative by the Income Tax Department and termed the workshop as highly informative and beneficial. He emphasized that it would help employees understand the latest provisions and ensure better compliance.
Experts from the Income Tax Department stressed the importance of transparency, accuracy, and timeliness in filing returns, urging participants to avoid incorrect deductions or errors in data. Officers Kamlesh Kumar Sinha, Deepak Kumar, and Amrendra Prasad shared detailed insights into the technical aspects of TDS and ITR, contributing to a highly engaging and educative session.
