Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) organized a cultural program at the Human Resource (Learning & Development) Centre auditorium as part of its ongoing 'Swachhata Pakhwada' (Cleanliness Fortnight). The event saw enthusiastic participation from employees, senior officials, and members of the Bokaro Mahila Samiti.
Director In-Charge B.K. Tiwari played a central role in the event, emphasizing that true success in the cleanliness campaign would come only when it becomes an integral part of daily life. He urged employees and attendees to adopt cleanliness as a habit and mindset. Leading from the front, he administered a cleanliness pledge to reinforce the commitment toward a cleaner and healthier environment.
Under Tiwari’s leadership, BSL has been actively promoting initiatives aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission. He stressed that a clean workplace and surroundings are essential for productivity and well-being and highlighted the mission’s role in achieving a developed India.
The cultural program included various performances focused on cleanliness. A joint team of current and former BSL employees presented the skit Swachhata Par Nidan. The RCL department staged Chhoti Si Soch, Bada Badlav, while the BGH team performed Atrangi Padosi. Additionally, Richa Priyadarshini from the Mahila Samiti recited a cleanliness-themed poem, and artists from Sangeet Kala Academy showcased a mix of Odissi dance, classical instrumental and vocal performances, and a group dance based on Swachh Gange.
The event was jointly anchored by Shweta Kumar, Cultural Secretary of Sangeet Kala Academy, and Ravi Sinha, Junior Manager at BSL. It concluded with a vote of thanks from Chief of Communications Manikant Dhan.
