Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the establishment of Regional Forensic Science Laboratories in Rewa and Ratlam is a significant step toward making the state’s justice system more efficient, accessible, and free from doubt.
These labs, developed at a total cost of Rs 13.50 crore, will facilitate the testing of toxicology, chemistry, and biology-related cases directly at crime scenes across Rewa, Satna, Singrauli, Maihar, Ratlam, Neemuch, and Mandsaur. Yadav emphasized that the police, forensic science, and judiciary are key pillars of the justice delivery system. The more empowered these institutions are, the greater the safety and security for citizens, and the more effectively criminal activities can be controlled. He shared these remarks during the virtual inauguration of the forensic laboratories from Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla also joined the program virtually. Present at the event were Additional Chief Secretaries J.N. Kansotia and Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Kailash Makwana, and other senior officials.

He further noted that modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, video conferencing, mobile applications, and virtual hearings are being widely integrated into court proceedings.
