On the occasion of Republic Day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will hoist the flag at the Police Line ground in Dumka, the sub-capital of the state. A full-dress rehearsal of the parade to be held on this occasion was done on Friday.
The district administration has made good preparations for the arrival of Chief Minister Hemant Soren here on the occasion of Republic Day. He will reach Dumka on the evening of January 25 for his two-day program and the same evening he will inaugurate the guest house built by the Forest Department near the Masanjore Dam located on the Mayurakshi river in Dumka.
On the second day, he will hoist the tricolor on the occasion of Republic Day. 14 platoons will participate in the parade organized on this occasion which includes Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP), IRB along with the police force of all the districts of the division as well as NCC cadets. The parade will be commanded by trainee IPS Dr. Syed Mustafa Hashmi. Second in command will be trainee DSP Akash Bhardwaj. On this occasion, tableaux made by various departments will also be displayed.
Dumka SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar said that better security arrangements are being made in view of the Chief Minister's program. For this, additional forces have been provided from the police headquarters. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Chief Minister will come to Dumka on the evening of January 25 and will hoist the flag on January 26.
Meanwhile, in other development a total of 35 distinguished achievers from Jharkhand have been invited as ‘Special Guests’ to witness the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defence, the invitees have made significant contributions across various fields, including disaster relief, leadership in local governance, successful implementation of government schemes, and more.
The selected guests include disaster relief workers, prominent Sarpanches, winners of the Prime Minister’s YASASVI scheme, top-performing SHG members, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, and start-up founders.
These individuals have made notable contributions in their respective areas, and their achievements align with the vision of a ‘Swarnim Bharat.’
The list also recognizes individuals who have effectively utilized government schemes to bring about positive change.
The 35 invited achievers represent a diverse set of districts in Jharkhand. Among them, seven are from Ranchi, three from Gumla, and two from Dhanbad, with others from various districts across the state.
The diverse group highlights the contributions of individuals from urban and rural areas, as well as from different communities, such as tribal and marginalized groups.
