CMPDI, RI-IV, Nagpur under its CSR initiative distributed Aids and Assistive devices to Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) & Senior Citizens in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra aimed at enhancing accessibility and improving their quality of life. CMPDI in association with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) and Chandrapur district administration carried out distribution of Aids and Assistive devices from 8th to 12th June at Rajura, Chandrapur city, and Warora respectively. The event was graced by Hon’ble MLA Shri Deorao Vithoba Bhongle, Rajura Assembly constituency; Shri Rajesh Ralhan, Regional Director, RI-IV, Nagpur, and other senior officials from CMPDI, ALIMCO and chandrapur district administration.
A total of 628 beneficiaries, comprising 442 differently-abled beneficiaries & 186 senior citizen beneficiaries from Chandrapur district benefited from this initiative. A Total of 42 Motorized Battery operated tricycles, 144 tricycles, 208 wheel chairs ,07CP Chairs, 280 walking sticks, 50 smart cane, 15 smart phones for visually impaired, 208 hearing aid devices,372 knee brace, 127 silicon cushion and 19 comod stool were also distributed reaffirming CMPDI’s commitment to inclusive growth, social inclusion and community welfare.
It is pertinent to mention that, CMPDI, RI-IV, Nagpur signed a MoA with ALIMCO for the same in February, 2025 and beneficiaries were identified through the assessments camps organised in March, 2025.
