The Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi on Monday informed that a total 7,499 complaints have been received through cVigil. Of these, 7,467 complaints have been successfully resolved. Only 32 cases remain under process, reflecting the swift action taken by authorities.
According to a statement issued by the CEO, Delhi, over 90 percent of the complaints were addressed within 100 minutes, underscoring the effectiveness of the redressal mechanism. The Suvidha platform has played a crucial role in processing permission requests from political parties and candidates. Since the announcement of the elections: A total of 43,992 permission requests have been received. Of these, 34,823 requests have been approved. Nearly 8,900 requests have been rejected, adhering to established guidelines.113 applications have been cancelled due to duplication or invalidity.
The Commission has deployed over 1.8 lakh personnel including 11 DEOs; 15 DCPs; 77 Central Observers; 70 ROs; 232 AROs, 2009 Sector Officers, 940 FST, 933 SST, 324 WTs, 316 VSTs; 220 companies of Paramilitary forces comprising over 16,000 personnel; 35,600 Delhi police personnel; 19,000 Home Guards; 13,033 BLOs; 1314 BLO Supervisors and nearly 69,000 polling personnel for the assembly polls.
