The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular to all Government and private schools in the city. The circular directs school principals to encourage students to visit the “Know Your Prime Minister” exhibition.
This comes after Delhi Assembly speaker Vijendra Gupta who wrote to DoE urging to instruct the Heads of Government and Private Schools under its jurisdiction to conduct school tours for students to visit the exhibition “Know Your Prime Minister” and gain valuable insights into the life and contributions of the Prime Minister.
The exhibition, held at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, is part of the ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ to commemorate the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will remain open to the public daily from 10 am to 6 pm until October 2. The exhibition showcases the life journey, achievements, and leadership of the Prime Minister and includes the specially curated short film ‘Chalo Jeete Hai’, highlighting his early life.
In his letter to the DoE, Gupta said the exhibition would allow students to gain valuable insights into the Prime Minister’s life and contributions.
He said the initiative would serve as a source of inspiration for students, teaching them about the country’s global progress, the vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’, and the values of leadership and service. Gupta further stated that this experience would broaden students’ understanding and motivate them to contribute to the nation’s development.
The Speaker has also urged all MLAs to reach out to school principals and deputy directors of education in their respective constituencies. He requested them to inform schools about the initiative and to organise student tours. He also appealed to public representatives to motivate local residents to visit the exhibition.
The Delhi Legislative Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to the education and empowerment of students and people in Delhi, stating that the exhibition provides an opportunity to learn from the Prime Minister’s journey.
The initiative aims to foster knowledge, values, and a sense of responsibility for a better future for the city and the nation.
The DoE circular serves as a formal communication channel for this initiative.
