Residents of the Banganga area in the state capital are living in fear due to a bizarre and alarming situation. Locals claim that an unidentified figure, described as an ‘unknown shadow’, has been roaming the area, allegedly targeting girls and women.

According to reports, this mysterious figure appears in the evening and is said to harass and molest women before vanishing without a trace. Shockingly, incidents of molestation and sexual assault are being reported not only at night but also in broad daylight, raising serious concerns about women's safety in the area.

For the past three to four months, the people of Banganga have been living under constant fear. Residents allege that this unidentified individual hides in abandoned buildings and carefully selects his victims. Several attempts have been made to catch him, but he has managed to evade capture each time. Locals believe that the perpetrator is highly cautious, avoiding detection until he spots a lone woman or girl, after which he strikes.

The fear instilled by this unknown assailant has drastically affected daily life. Women and girls are refraining from stepping out of their homes after dusk, and the overall atmosphere in the area remains tense.

Concerned residents have submitted complaints to the local MLA, councilor, and TT Nagar police station, demanding swift action to ensure their safety. Authorities are yet to make a breakthrough in identifying and apprehending the suspect.

Meanwhile, the community continues to remain on edge, hoping for urgent intervention before the situation escalates further.
