Maha Kumbh 2025 is drawing foreign tourists beyond just the mystique of Naga Sadhus. This time, they are closely observing the festival’s cleanliness, traffic management, and event planning. With record attendance, visitors are immersing themselves in Indian culture while gaining insights into its traditions and organisational excellence.
Agni Akhara secretary Mahamandaleshwar Sampurnanand shared that visitors from several countries have arrived in Prayagraj this year. He said, “They are deeply interested in understanding the contrast between ascetic and household life.”
He added, “Foreign tourists are no longer just fascinated by the lives of Naga Sadhus; they are also delving into the intricate arrangements of Maha Kumbh and exploring the depth of Sanatan culture.”
Jitendra Singh Negi, representing the High Commission Affairs of Ghana, expressed his profound connection with his ancestral roots. He shared, “My ancestors migrated from India to Ghana, and visiting Prayagraj for the first time has given me incredible insights into Sanatan Dharma. Meeting Guruji (Agni Akhara Mahamandaleshwar Sampurnanand) was enlightening as we uncovered the deep wisdom of our traditions. I was accompanied by 16 other representatives, all deeply moved by Indian culture.”
Similarly, foreign tourist Ankita Upadhyay shared, “We had heard about Maha Kumbh, but experiencing it firsthand has been overwhelming. The seamless arrangements at Sangam and its spiritual energy have left a lasting impression on us.”
According to the administration, tourists from over 50 countries have already visited the Maha Kumbh 2025, and more are expected to arrive in the coming days.
